3 Purpose of and legal basis for data processing

We collect personal data only where you choose to disclose them yourself, such as when you complete our contact form. We use these data for no other purpose than the one for which you have disclosed them. They will be used for other purposes only after you have been expressly informed of this and given your consent, in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. In certain cases, personal data are processed because of a legitimate interest under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR (see Item 4 below).

4 Processing because of a legitimate interest under Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR

The processing of personal data based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR is carried out in the cases listed below.

4.1 Collection of personal data during visits to our website

When our website is used solely for information purposes, we collect only those personal data that are sent to our server by your browser. When you view our website, we collect the data listed here, which are technically required to display our website and to ensure stability and security:

– IP address, date and time of the request, time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), content of the request (specific page), access status/HTTP status code, data volume transmitted, website where the request originated, browser, operating system and user interface, browser language and version.

Google Tag Manager

Please note that we use Google Tag Manager by Google Ireland Limited (Register-No: 368047), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personal data. Google Tag Manager facilitates the embedding and administration of tags on our websites. Tags are small code elements which enable us to measure website traffic and user behaviour andto record the impact of our advertising activities and social networks, to test and optimise our websites for our interest groups. LinkedIn

When you visit our LinkedIn company page, there is a joint controllership with LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/solve) for processing your personal data. We use our LinkedIn page to inform and communicate with you as a user and interested party of our offer or as a potential employee/applicant. In accordance with LinkedIn’s terms of use, which each user has agreed to as part of creating a LinkedIn profile, we may identify subscribers to the page and view their profiles and other shared information from them. For example, your LinkedIn name and their profile picture are visible to us (and other LinkedIn users) when you visit our site or comment on posts by us. We therefore only collect the personal data that has become an obvious part of our LinkedIn page through corresponding cooperation on your part. We have no interest in collecting and further processing your individual personal data for marketing purposes. Accordingly, we use the data at most to adapt and improve our offer.

LinkedIn uses cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on the various end devices of the users, to store and further process this information. According to LinkedIn, the cookies used by LinkedIn are used for authentication, security, preferences, functions and services, personalized advertising, and analysis and research. Further legal bases for data processing may arise in individual cases from Art. 6 s. 1 a, b, c GDPR. We delete personal data insofar as the purpose of the data processing has been achieved and there are also no other legal grounds against deletion of the data. We generally delete private messages in our LinkedIn account manually after 12 months.

LinkedIn Insight-Tag Our website uses the Insight tag from LinkedIn. The provider of this service for Europe is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland.

The Insight Tag is a conversion tracking and retargeting service. With its help, we receive information about our website users and thus enable us to display personalised advertisements to these users on LinkedIn. We also receive pseudonymous reports on the performance of the adverts and information on website interaction. The LinkedIn Insight tag establishes a connection to the LinkedIn server when you visit our website. If you visit this website and are logged into your LinkedIn account at the same time, it is clear to LinkedIn who you are. If you wish to prevent this, you must log out of LinkedIn before accessing the website. The following data is collected using the Insight Tag

Device information, IP address, referrer URL, timestamp, time zone, Browser information, Visibility of adverts, Clicks on adverts conversion tracking, user network, user agent, language and website visited.

The IP addresses are truncated or (if they are used to reach LinkedIn members across devices) hashed (pseudonymised). LinkedIn uses the data for its own advertising purposes. Details can be found in LinkedIn’s privacy policy at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy#choices-oblig.

The data is deleted after 90 days. The identifiers of LinkedIn members are deleted by LinkedIn after seven days.

The recipient of the data is: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland, LinkedIn Corporation, 1000 W. Maude Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085, USA.

LinkedIn stores the personal data collected on its servers in the USA. On 10 July 2023, the European Commission adopted its adequacy decision for the EU-US data protection framework. LinkedIn Corporation is not yet certified under the EU-US Privacy Framework. A data transfer to Singapore is feasible. The legal basis for the transfer are the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).

The use of the LinkedIn Insight Tag is based on your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by accessing the cookie settings HERE and changing your selection there. The legality of the data processing until the revocation remains unaffected.

Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel)

To measure conversion rates, this website uses the visitor activity pixel of Facebook/Meta. The provider of this service is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. According to Facebook’s statement the collected data will be transferred to the USA and other third-party countries too.

This tool allows the tracking of page visitors after they have been linked to the website of the provider after clicking on a Facebook ad. This makes it possible to analyze the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and to optimize future advertising campaigns.

For us as the operators of this website, the collected data is anonymous. We are not in a position to arrive at any conclusions as to the identity of users. However, Facebook archives the information and processes it, so that it is possible to make a connection to the respective user profile and Facebook is in a position to use the data for its own promotional purposes in compliance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). This enables Facebook to display ads on Facebook pages as well as in locations outside of Facebook. We as the operator of this website have no control over the use of such data.

The use of these services occurs on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You may revoke your consent at any time.

Insofar as personal data is collected on our website with the help of the tool described here and forwarded to Facebook, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland are jointly responsible for this data processing (Art. 26 DSGVO). The joint responsibility is limited exclusively to the collection of the data and its forwarding to Facebook. The processing by Facebook that takes place after the onward transfer is not part of the joint responsibility.
